The IMDG Code has now included into the regulations that mandatory training will be required as of January 1st 2010.
Regulations for the movement of Lithium Batteries has changed, and caused a few headaches for the industry. So we’ve summerized the regulations into a short abridged version.
The UN Number and Proper Shippers Names have been amended are now UN3090, UN3091, UN3480 and UN3481. New packing instructions were introduced, Packing Instruction 965 to 970. For Lithium Batteries that do not require Shippers Declarations, there is a new label that must be applied to the package.
